Chandrajyoti Singh IAS Biography
Her mother father were both in the army. After schooling, she took admission in st. Stephen college, Delhi University, and completed her graduation with history honors. Her graduation was completed in 2018. Then after that, she started the UPSC preparation. In 2019, she gave her first attempt at the civil services examination.
Chandrajyoti Singh IAS strategy or journey
She started her preparation in June 2018. In the first 5 months, she completed her syllabus. She divided her time of study into two parts. In the first part she prepared for GS papers and in the second part, she prepared her optional. Besides this two times, she read newspapers in her night time. She only gives 1hour maximum to newspapers daily. After completed her preparation, in October 2018 she joined mock test series of prelims papers and her optional subject of GS Score. Side by side she practices answer writing as well. Before 2 months of prelims exams, she only focused on prelims papers. She left the preparation of mains in these 2 months. In these 2 months, she mainly focused on the revision of current affairs, Basic sources, and mock tests.
After prelims, she started the preparation for mains. She took test series of Vision IAS and forums ias. She also took essay test series as well from vision IAS and forums ias and for history, she took test series from Self study materials website. After completed her mains preparation, she also focused on current affairs and interviews. After Mains, she fully focused on the Interview. For the interview, she took 5 mocks from the different institutes.
In the final step, she cracked the interview and got the All India Rank 28 position in 2019.
During her interview, she shared her strategy for aspirants. She said you should limit your sources and from these sources, you should make handwritten notes yourself, no matter it was digital or on paper. She said about the newspaper strategy is that she first read the newspaper, then read the current affairs of insights ias and Vajjram student portal. And after that, she combined all these 3 and make notes by herself on Evernote. She revised all the notes on Sunday every week.
