Akshat Jain Education

Akshat Jain the All India Rank 2 holder in Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) – 2018  started his journey from India International School, Jaipur and got a milestone of 94% in Class 12.

He graduated from IIT Guwahati with a degree in Design. An alumnus of IIT Guwahati attained Rank 2 in UPSC Civil Services Exam in his 2nd attempt.

Akshat first appeared for the exam in 2017, though he could not clear in his first attempt, but it was a great learning experience for him.

His Father, Mr. D C Jain, is the Joint Director in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), New Delhi and mother, Mrs Simmi Jain, an Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer.

Akshat Jain Strategy For UPSC

I Would Say That Ias Requires The Right Strategy. A Blind Uncalculated Effort Will Not Give You Proportionate Results.

  • He mentioned before even starting, he studied the entire syllabus deeply and recommended it to all upcoming aspirants too.
  • After reading the whole syllabus he decided how he will cover the bulk in time.
  • He aimed to cover the syllabus of GS and mains before prelims and did the same. He was always aware of the remaining time so he made short notes because they are easy to revise.
  • He didn’t target multiple resources but whatever he chose read it thoroughly.
  • According to Akshat Jain if you want to show your real talent to the examiner you need to work on your writing skills. He felt that it is the only way you can show the examiner your real talent.
  • He started the preparation for Essay Writing in early november and wrote essays once a week or once in two weeks.
  • Anthropology was his optional subject as he thinks it’s very practical and you can coordinate it with the real world.
  • Earlier he wanted to choose Design as his optional but when he didn’t find Design in optional subjects list he moved on to Anthropology.
  • He did not attend any coaching for GS but he did go for optional subject Anthropology in Valid ICS Coaching, New Delhi.
  • One has to be healthy and focused towards studies and avoid social media as much as they can.
  • Akshat Jain felt he had to give a lot of effort and hard work during his preparation.
